Still looking to make good on your New Year’s resolution to quit smoking, chewing or vaping nicotine?
As of today, for a limited time, both the Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line and Live Vape Free will quadruple its shipment of FREE nicotine patches, gum, or lozenges, or combination patch+gum or patch+lozenge to registered participants to help you meet your goals. Participants must be medically eligible and 18 or older to qualify.
While the Quit Line and Live Vape Free normally supply 2 weeks of meds, they will now offer 8 weeks of free meds while supplies last.
This is in addition to getting free calls, texts, and online chatting with live quit coaches who provide personalized support to help you quit.
After the promotion, services will revert to a 2-week supply of medications.
Tobacco use remains the leading cause of preventable disease and death in Wisconsin and across the United States.
Wisconsin residents 13 and older can reach the Quit Line 24/7 for help with resolutions by calling 800-QUIT-NOW (800-784-8669) or by visiting WiQuitLine.org.
Youth and young adults ages 13-26 who want to specifically quit vaping can text VAPEFREE to 873373 for free help via text.
“We’re excited to offer four times the free medications to help Wisconsin residents address their tobacco use,” said Quit Line Coordinator Kate Kobinsky. “When you’re ready to quit, we’re ready to help.”
